  • Valve Clearances? 1993 Mazda 121 (B3 1.3L 16v F.I.)

I'm going to be adjusting (checking anyway!) the valve clearances on our Mazda 121 DB (Bubble) tomorrow, however, I don't actually know the valve clearances yet

They've never been checked at all during the past 8 years of ownership so I think it might be worth a look!

Can somebody tell me the clearances or point me in the direction of a source?

    Thanks in advance

Why would you think they need checked? I've never heard of doing this.

The valves/tappets are slightly noisy when cold which suggests that they might need adjusting (but they've always been like that to be honest) but the main thing is the manual (hand book) recommends that the valve clearances are checked every 10,000km/6000 miles (which I've never done!)

Now I understand. Noisy valves. For some reason I was thinking valve clearance on the piston since you mentioned clearances.
