12V Cigarette Lighter Help

I need my lighter to charge my phone for FM6 and it drains my battery how do i fix that? a new socket? with wires? any socket will work?

Check your wires on that circuit. Sounds like you have a bad ground or missing in the dash.

ok i will test that i just unplugged my 10A a while back so i could drive it and not worry now i need it. i was gonna just by a universal one and run new wires just seeing if that would work ?

Shouldn't be drawing anything empty. Put an ammeter across the fuse terminals.

No not now but before it was draining it I took the fuse out and it stopped.

I just posted on your other post... I know that you aren't having a stereo in your car. You can VERY easily use the 12v keyed that was intended for your stereo. Find the wire, attach a female end to it, connect to the lighter... Easy!

i also disconnected the dome light fuse so there is a chance that could be the issue I will try the test later. but i was wondering does a 92 have a trunk light?

Most didn't but all the wiring for one is there.
