my thought was also the cat.. next weekend im proly going to unbolt it and try it out. but im also not gunna dimiss any other options.. ill proly buy a ignition coil thruogh my work just to have one if its not the cat cause i can always return it anyways if i dont need it.. ill double check the fuel filter but the bends on the filter are car specific so it would be odd to make the filter and bend the lines coming out to o.e. spec and make it fit a complete different way

Update: After diagnosing what I could by myself, I narrowed it down to the Ignition Coil. So, yep, that was it! After driving for awhile at highway speeds, it would heat up too much and I'd lose spark. Then, after sitting with my flashers on the side of the highway for a few minutes, I'd be good to get the rest of the way home. kimara3002, I hope you figured your problem out too!
