In my limited experience, random misfire is often caused from sucking air....

"The car idles around 1000-1100 rpm, may or may not have anything to do with anything."

Confirms my thought. Me? I would start wondering about an intake manifold gasket. Been there, had the headache.

Nerd racing had the right of it, though. It is a GM, set it on fire! That will fix yer problem!

You might make sure the CAT isn't pulled up that happened to our malibu. It was just choking it.

issue was resolved today, the MAIN.. problem was the coil pack housing, swapped it out and the constant consistent miss causing rough idle is gone. The catillitic converter needs replaced still, you can DEFINATELY feel it holding it back up hills and takiing off from a stop, doesn't have the power I think it should....but the coil cover got it out of my driveway and she can take it to a shop to fix the cat...or come back next week after my minivans brakes and rotors get replaced.

the car has a map sensor instead of maf/vaf, but it's got over 200 on the clock so if it was mine I'd be replacing alot of things, front main seal timing chain/guides and all. With the compression test results I bet it would run as good as new with a little TLC. She needs new sway bar end links, they aren't even attached anymore on either side...but it's not my car so ..
