Door jab wire

The other day I was messing with trying to get the door jabs to work, and the switch fell apart in my hand and the wire pulled itself into the body of the car.

How in the heck am I going to get this wire out back through the hole so I can get another switch in there?

Any suggestions?

Forceps.

Remove the arm rest, window crank, one screw bottom front, and pry the inside panel partly or wholly off the the door. Search this forum for more info. Not a problem. I've done it a few times.

A wire with a hook. Where does that pigtail join the harness? You could run a wire hook from the hole to wherever you see the pigtail and maybe it will slide down and grab the terminal.

I had to do this the other day. Manual seat belts.

Stainless steel leader hook from the tackle box.

Remove door sill. Pop bottom of the B pillar out (2 plastic fasteners). It will be enough to get your hand in.

Fish out wire into cabin, then attach leader to wire through door jamb hole and pull it out. 5 mins.

I'm still confused as to what they mean. If it's the little sensor for the dome light then it's easy. You just remove the trim piece on the side of the back seat area and there is huge hole you can reach back into to get to that wire with the connector on the end.

I THINK he's talking about the door switch, the one at the very bottom of the interior door trim. The one that makes it know your door is closed/open.

But I'm just assuming.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking...and that's the one I'm talking about in my reply. It's easy to get to once that trim piece is removed. I just installed one of those switches in the passenger door a couple weeks ago.
