Outer tie rod removal

    As mentioned above the trick is to put the pressed in joint under stress then tap with a hammer to break it free. Works on all sorts of similar joints including bicycle cranks. For the Festiva tie rod ends I have a small 2-prong puller to apply the pressure. For replacing the bearings there are some photos here:
