  • 1994 escort 1.9 bypass hose replacement

i am working on my brothers escort going to replace his heater hose that comes from the thermostat housing and goes into a metal block that houses two sensors then another hose comes off of the other side ofthe metak block and goes to the heater core and the hoses are crimped onto the metal block and i cannot find replacement hoses not even at a dealer here in st,louis and having trouble finding a unit on the internet. doe i have to make one from scratch? has anyone here had this problem before? again just trying to replace the hoses so it does not leak coolent. thanks for any help.

McParts stores sell heater hose by the foot. If you can't find the molded hose, that is probably going to be your best option. Take the old one in, and match the diameter.

You have to cut off the crimps and replace it with regular hose clamps. Just use a dremel tool if you have one (just be careful not to cut the pipe)
