  • Electronics won't work when it's cold and humid...

I have started having problems with the electronics in my car...when my car has been sitting for a while (for instance when i work third shift overnight and leave in the morning)...I start my car and most of the electronics won't work right away...my windsheild wipers, my radio, my heat and air conditioning, defrost, radiator fan...the only thing that works are my headlights. After the car warms up for a while does everything finally come back on. I have checked all of my fuses and they look fine. What could the problem be?

Check the grounds. I don't have a manual handy at the moment but I seem to recall there's a ground connection on the driver's side up under the dash. Could be loose, corroded or both.

Spray WD-40 into the keyhole in the ignition. I have to do it every few years.
