  • Blown Headgasket?

So I've been having a nasty car issue the past few days. Initially, I thought it was related to my ignition components getting wet or having some distributor moisture issues, but it seems to have escalated and gotten worse since I've dried everything up and been driving the car.

The symptoms I have right now:

-Smoking white like a steam train in all weather and load conditions.
-Serious white smoke billowing out of the hood and engine corners.
    -Burning through coolant remarkably quickly.
-Exhaust sounds like a WRX and a Harley mixed together.
-Serious loss of power, particularly at low RPM and on hills.
-Unresponsive accelerator pedal for a few seconds.
-Stalls when at idle while warming up.
-Overheats quite easily when doing easy driving.
-Mayonnaise coloured sludge in the spark plug holes.
-Bubbling noise when shutting the car off.

I have yet to check the coolant for bubbles or the oil for strange colours as it is dark out at the moment and I'd rather work with two hands than one and a flashlight. Any ideas on where to start looking? I already possess a new head gasket and upper gasket kit, but it'd be nice to hear some opinions.

My engine sounded like a Subie when I had to drive around on three cylinders because the compression tester was stuck inside. Is it spooling slow?

Very slowly. It pops and bangs if you try and floor it or get on the boost at all. *sigh*

yup, either blown gasket or cracked head or block. Pull the head and have it pressure checked, then milled if it passes. Inspect the cylinder walls and gasket deck for cracks. If the block passes inspection, clean it well with a razor blade, install new gasket and reinstall head.
