  • Lock washer part #?

I need a replacement lock washer for the rear spindle-nut. One in there currently is so mangled the locking tab twisted onto the threads.

Anyone got a part number? Every McAuto parts store has nuts and washers for the front, but only the nuts for the rear. WTF?!?!?

No one say a junkyard, I am not going to a junkyard for just a washer.

Take one to the store with you so they can match it up.

(It may take a while to figure out how to edit under the new format.)

I'd be inclined to take a hammer and file to it, clean it up, and save the cost of a new one.

I don't think a file and a hammer is going to fix this. Thing is, I am going to have to destroy the washer to get it off.

Only cost me a couple bucks, but I went on blind faith and had them order it.

Too big, so I put the one with the tab I drilled out back on.

Guess I will just have to have to bring them the washer and have them find the closest match they have.

They have lock-washers, but nothing that will work on a Festiva. Interesting site though.
