HELP severly stuck axle

I thought of that, but I took the clip off the newer axle to try and make it smaller. It had very little "spring" to it and when expanded enough to slip back over the splines, it tended to just bend and not go back to the proper size. I'm afraid if I pull the good clip off the old axle it will do the same. My redneck instincts tell me to just leave it alone and install the old axle, LOL.Brian
