    How are you supporting the vehicle? Does it make a difference when removing the tank?

        Another thing to do for a new gas tank is to undercoat it before installation. You can get it fully coated easily off the car.

          Use your tall jack stands and the long reach jack..




          Just kinda joking, it helps to have enough room to swing one side down
          a lot to pop out. The stands should be out of the way and secure so nothing
          slips that might dislodge the car.
          A hoist is preferred.

            I put it up on 4 jack stands. My tank was fully coated when I took it out. I got a quote to caustic vat it for $60, should be ready this next week.
