  • Removing clutch release bearing

Simple question. What holds it in place?

I've got a replacement gearbox for the one that tried to let the diff out! Only a 300 mile round trip and it cost me what I paid for the car in the first place.

I can't see how to remove the release bearing and would be grateful for know-how.

Also anyone know the dimensions of the drive shaft oil seals and gearbox input shaft oil seal please?

My old KIA was oil-tight and I thought that putting my old drive-shafts into the replacement gearbox may compromise this. The 'new' gearbox seems it may have a bit leaky around the input shaft.

I can't source the seals relative to the car and thought I'd try a bearing/seal specialist.

If you have the old seals out you could take them with you when you go looking for replacements.
