    rear wheel bearings

I believe spec is torque to 1 foot lb then back off and re torque to 3 inch lbs. Thats how I do mine at least, going on 10k with current set.

I tighten mine until the wheel is hard to turn then back off until the washer can be moved by twisting a large screwdriver in the gap between washer and bore.

You can check after driving a while by feeling if the hub is hot - too tight, or if the wheel is loose when you grab the top and push and pull - too loose. When you push and pull don't have the hand brake on (the noise sounds like loose bearings).

This is what the shop manual says for torque specs, so take it for what its worth. After doing your brake repairs the manual says to tighten the spindle nut to 12ft lbs spin in a forward direction, while spining the wheel tighten the nut to 18/22 ft lbs of torque, now loosen the nut a 1/4 turn, now re tighten till you feel a slight drag (3 to 7) inch pounds, next is the stake nut. Good luck
