  • Aspire parts in Festivas..what works????

    Hey guys,

I've got two festivas now!! One for me, and one for my girl. I'm in the process of doing a B6 swap, as well as upgrading and improving other existing parts. htchbck came down from Dahlonega, and offered a hand for the swap  (Thanks Joseph) I did the Aspire brake swap, but I noticed my brake lines are a bit rusty. Will all of the Aspire brake lines work for the Festivas? Will the radiator or fan work? If you guys could let me know that would be great. My Festiva is a 1992 5spd. Thanks,

    Joe

The brake hard lines are different. but keep the rubber hoses for your swap. along with the parking brake cable

I did the brake swap already, and installed the rubber hoses, but I need new hard lines. Anybody have a good source for these :?:

        Thanks

just buy them from the parts store and bend them yourself. They come in various lengths with the fittings installed.

You read my mind Matt I was looking into that today. Have any of you guys had any experience with the tubing benders? I went to harbor freight today and saw a couple, but I didn't know how well they would work for brake lines. Thanks for the heads up on the standard fuse replacement box. I went out and got one today, and I am in the process of wiring it up. I am stripping that whole harness and re-taping it. I also threw some shrink tubing over the extensions to protect them and put some di-electric grease on the connections after I soldered them.
