I have instrument cluster with tach and want to put it in a 92 GL that does not have a tach. Will it fit?

    instrument cluster

Festiva parts can only interchange with festiva's of the same exterior colour

So if your tach cluster came out of a white festiva and your 92' is blue, then no, it won't fit

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Bob, The kid is messing with you. Color has nothing to do with fit. Did you get my messages last night. It will fit but you have to have the circuit board . I'll stop by this afternoon and explain in person!!!

I swapped an orange tach cluster (late 80s I presume) into a 93 with no issues at all. Only thing difficult (initially) is figuring out how to reroute the speedo cable beside the steering column frame. The only warning buzzer feature I've ever appreciated is the fact that tach clusters have a built-in buzzer that warns you that the lights are still on when you withdraw the key. I like that!
So is someone telling me that swapping a white cluster involves tinkering with the circuit board?

^ just did the same swap and love it , but my speedo bounces until 35 MPH.

Bert, no tinkering, but you do have to have the board that comes with the tach cluster, cannot use a non-tack board to run a tach cluster without massive tinkering.
              No festiva for me ATM...

I put a white cluster in my car (a '92L) with no modifications other than rerouting the speedo cable like already mentioned.

Rafe, I gave Skater a tach cluster with no circuit board. I used the board on my cluster w/ 110mph speedo. I have to see if I can find him another circuit board.

Ahh gotcha. I couple months ago I could have helped, but I sold my broken tach cluster already.
