        The cooling fan switch has a range of 196 - 201 F.

my 93 the gauge goes up about 1/4 of the way and the fan comes on.

my 1991 the fan stays on all of the time and the needle goes up about 1/2 and stays there.

My fan doesn't come on unless I've been stuck in traffic idling for 10 minutes, then it is on for about a minute, off for a minute. The sensor was broken when I got my 93, I pulled about 10 from junkyard cars before I found two good ones.

Those figures seem REALLY high- i was thinking that it should go on much lower. Is this to keep the engine warm for better fuel economy perhaps?

I'm installing a manual switch on the dash for the fan, because my festiva is running too hot for my liking. Does anyone know what relay the fan uses?
