    I fixed my speedo with no new parts at all. It didnt work because the cable tube was frayed at the tranny and it was moved out of the cable tunnel behind the dash, I managed to get it back in the tunnel which destroyed my hand, cut the frayed tube slid it back in and crimped the boot. Speedo now works :-). The question, have is it normal for the speedo to have a static look to it? Its got about a 3mph up and down bounce to it, is that normal?

    The bounce indicates the need for lubrication.
