any pictorial for replacing the hla's?

will be doing this next week there is 1 or 2 hla's that still tick after all seafoam treaments, will be replacing the hlas and doing another oil change with shell rotella t6 5w40( very good reviews about it on mazda forums) and a pure-one oil filter. so does anyone have a pictorial?

If you don't already have one, I would highly recommend you get a chiltons manual or similar. I will not only have what you are seeking but also the torque for the bolts that hold on the rocker shafts.

What you need to do is pull the valve cover, remove the rocker shaft(s) that hold the offending hla(s), remove said hla, install new hla and finally reassemble in reverse order. Make sure to get the torque for the rocker shaft bolts and torque them down.

oh yeah I know the process and i have a haynes manual. its around 26ish lbs of torque i do believe just the picture of the exposed bits in the book is a crappy b/w photo lol. was just wanting the pictorial mainly to see if everything looks right in mine =) if no one has one then i reckon i could take some photos as i do it when i get to it.

I would recommend drawing your own as you disassmble, or even better take photos for ref. This is a pretty easy job if you can take your time and to the details.
