  • Head light buzzer

Here's the deal, when you shut the car off and the lights are still on you should get a warning buzzer, mine has stpped working, i have done a search and i have looked through my Festiva shop manual and no luck finding what i need, like where it's at. If someone knows where it's at in the manual and i missed it, i'm all ears. Any thoughts or comments.

The buzzer under the dash, is a ignition/door buzzer i think, it doesn't remind that your headlights are on. I removed mine also.
The tach cluster assembly has a built-in buzzer. On the top right corner (as you are looking at the speedometer). Radio shack sells a buzzer and also a chime. I replaced the cluster buzzer with a chime in my car, it sounds fancy now, like a Cadillac or a Lexus

Ordinary Festys don't have a "headlights on" buzzer, that I know of. I have three of these cars (92-93 L models). Upon installing a tach cluster (an American LX/DL feature?) in one of them I too discovered that there was such a warning buzzer. And obviously it's inside the cluster. This (for once) is a useful feature and one I have not gone to great lengths to disconnect, unlike the stupid seat belt, door ajar and other irritating buzzer features.

I think I may actually have a radio shack buzzer laying around in my garage somewhere. If I can find it and if you want it, you can have it. It can be easily attached without taking apart the cluster. Or it can be hooked up to the fusebox in any car very easily.

The buzzer is inside the cluster, out of sight. You would need to disassemble the cluster to get at the non functional buzzer. Or check the connections on the back of your cluster, they could just be shorted out.

denguy! bragger!!! I missed golf this weekend for the cold!

Yes, the headlight buzzer is on the printed circuit board of the gauge cluster.... But only on the Tach clusters. If you pull the gauge cluster out, you'll see it.

BTW, Karl- Text or PM me your mailing address. I want to send you some money and the wife threw away the empty boxes that had your return address.
