  • Keeps eating rotors

My 93 keep eating rotors over time. Sometimes they just warp within 20k miles, other times they actually get thinner in spots and you can feel them pulse when you are on the brakes.

I have considered doing an aspire brake swap but don't know what to expect on cost.

As an aside, where can I get a new rack and pinion at a good price?

Thanks for all the help you can give.

Most likely your driving style/habits.....these are little brakes. Abuse them, and they will wear fast.

Clean joining surfaces and even torque
I think its Eurotiva that builds rack and pinions
and a very fair price. All AZ, Oreily, or online stuff
        will likely be reman too.

you may also have dragging calipers, or a mis-adjusted M/C pushrod.

Thanks for the replies. If I went with the Aspire swap are those much larger brakes?

Yes. You will stop a lot quicker. The rotors are vented and not solid like the Festiva.
