I need a good picture of the vacuum advance port on an auto trans that I can use to help explain where to plug the hose in! If anyone can take a picture of one that shows the spot where the hose enters with the whole transmission in view (or even a shot of it under the car with other components visible for reference) that would help a hell of a lot!

Ok, I will get a pic of it on Green Car, but its pretty simple where it is. There is a 3/16" metal pipe that runs front down low on the front of the trans up and over the top of it and toward the back. That pipe is the one that the vac line plugs into. The other end of the vac line plugs into a port on the drivers side of the intake manifold. And if her "mechanic" really did pull and cap that line she needs to find a new mechanic, or just quit having her car worked on altogether. He WILL do some serious damage to the car, in fact what he has already done will seriously damage things if she keeps driving it the way he currently has it "fixed".No festiva for me ATM...

Haven't ever tried doing the attachment thing on here, but Photobucket isn't loading this morning. First pic should be the pipe coming from the trans, second one should be the port on the intake. All you need is a vac line about a foot long to fix it.Last edited by htchbck; 01-30-2013, 06:50 AM.No festiva for me ATM...

Does anyone have a picture of where that pipe connects to the vacuum port on the transmission? In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:

I have a trans sitting on a shelf in my garage but would be difficult to get a decent pic because it's facing the wrong way. If both your trans cooler lines are hooked up and your vent is identifiable then there's only one port left. It will go to the modulator valve.
