  • Tie rod end issue?

I changed my tie rod ends and now my steering is very sensitive when i gas it, it pulls left and right real bad but if i drive normal it just feels a little loose.
    it is a weird one.
i am going to get some wider rims and see if it fixes it. but weird.

Why would wider rims help? Did you get it alined?
If it don't fit, use a bigger hammer!

Check ball joints and sway bar bushings.

I'm 94% sure I know the cause. It's not the tierod ends, it's the sway bar bushings. Did you make sure to replace the carter pins with new ones? It's almost surely an issue with the bushings where they go through the lower control arm. Gas to the left, and brakes to the right, is most likely the passenger side.

Good info Gabe. I'm having the same prob now for a while after taking my suspension off so many times to change my springs so many times I guess I could have neglected the bushings. And your rite that bigger or wider wheels will not help. When I put my 15s on it actually felt like it made it worse.

Alignment. Always should get one when changing tie rods.

Alignment. Sounds like one or both ends are screwed in too far. Find yourself white-knuckle driving because the steering is so sensitive? Check the tie rods for play and control arms before taking it in to get lined up.
