After driving on the highway,Or some dodgy traffic work, I'll pull up to a stoplight and I will get a heavy shaking/vibration in my car. Its bad enough that the car shakes/vibrates. I wonder if the people around me can hear/see it lol. If I put it in neutral, it lessens or goes away. But if I put it in drive it comes back immediately. I have an automatic FYI. Any ideas?

^ the converter spins at all times (attached to engine), it wouldn't matter if the car was in gear or not as the converter spins the pump at all times. and IF it were the converter, the vibration would not be intermitant.Trees aren't kind to me...

So how do I check to be sure it is the TC? And if it is, I assume that would be the best time for a trans swap?

if the TC is bad (doubtful), currently there is no easy automatic alternative other than another unit. the GL4A-H would be the easiest auto swap, but they are RARE. then there's always a manual swap...
start looking at OTHER options for your symptoms.Trees aren't kind to me...
