Hey Guys,
My speedometer is loud. Really loud when it's cold. Is there anything I can put in the cable to lubricate it to quieten it down?

spray wd40 or some other lube

I bought some Engine Grease from O'Reilly's for mine.

Grease would last a lot longer use that.

How much do you think it'll take.... Just a little in the key that plugs into the instrument cluster?

I would unscrew it from the tranny mount. And then pull the actually cable completely out from there. Then spread some grease all over that thing before putting it back in and screwing it back to the tranny gear.

I just had the same problem. I took the entire cable, and cleaned it with brake cleaner. Cleaned the cable housing too. Then ii put some white lithium grease along the entire length of cable. Since then i haven't heard anything from it.
