Fuel Injectors

Hey guys found our issue... No our BP isnt running again but i've finally found our injectors went bad... I have 8 extras... ALL BAD. I've never had that many bad injectors in my life. anyways I'm going to try to search around online a bit but if anyone knows what kind of fuel injector they (91 escort GT) are and what other cars they come out of I would love to know so I can get some in there... currently out of the 12 I have I have 2 injectors working with the fuel rail pulled, I tried them in all the slots so its not the fuel rail ports. Any help would be amazing, it looks to me like most of them are the same... If i can get this thing running, even if its like crap, in the next few hours we still have a chance for this race... Thanks guys

remove the injectors and run wires from the prongs to the positive and negative battery terminals, they'll click open...then spray them with something, I used carb and choke cleaner and pb blaster on a buddies injector in his minivan...it might at least get you by if you can get them unclogged?????????? hopefully that's all it is! bad gas..?!

Fuel Injectors

It seems very unlikely that only 2 of 12 injectors work properly. Are you sure your getting enough pressure at the rail?

Tried to clean them, it was a no-go. Didn't make it for the race and we are ordering 4 new ones now. i had around 90 lbs or pressure at the rail since i swapped the fuel pump to a walboro 255, and plenty of fuel going through the return line. With that only 2 injectors kicked, no matter what position i tried them in, the noid light worked for each area, so i know they were trying to pulse. Oh well... Makes me sad but we'll go for another event in april...

Look on the bright side; you've probably found all the broken BP injectors within a 100 mile radius and taken them off the market.

that is a lot of head pressure for the injector to overcome
