  • my seatbelt problem

92 L EFI. i finally found out why my automatic seatbelts keep blowing the fuse. before it would take a couple of days to a week for it to happen. the other day i just jumped the place the fuse goes w/ a wire and then a larger fuse and the passenger door side belt keeps trying to retract when it already was. not constantly, but it'll do it for as long as it takes to normally retract ant then stop on it's own. 30 sec. or so later it does it again and eventually blows the fuse. i tried messing w/ it manually while it's doing this and did no good. anyone have any ideas? is there something that's supposed to stop it or suppose to tell it to stop? my drivers side works perfect. also, the bad side won't retract when you open the door. sensor or something? i've looked and messed w/ some things but no luck. thanks.

guess nobody else has had this problem. how easy is it to replace the passenger side seat belt motor, track, etc.?

there is two switches on the seat belt track
one on the A pillar and one on the B pillar
      forward stop on the A
      retract stop on the B
plus there is a micro switch in the door latch (in the door assembly)
then you have the control module located under the drivers seat
