  • Led replacement bulbs?

Hi everyone, just want to know about replacing the odometer cluster bulbs and the heater control bulbs and what size led bulbs I need. And also I just to brighten it up with white led lights so my question is should I replace the odometer cluster with led bulbs or a light strip..(I need sizes for the bulbs)

    Thanks..

All of the cluster bulbs (indicator lights that is, not the illumination of the cluster) are 194's as far as I know. As for the HVAC controls, I'm really not sure but would like to know.

Whatever you end up doing, remember that LEDs will be much more bright so I wouldn't get apples to apples ratings.

Dom, there are a few things you can do. For the cluster, the easiest and least expensive thing you can do is to get yourself a sticky white LED strip from the parts store and mount it inside the white housing that holds the tiny bulbs that illuminate the front of the cluster. It's easy to unscrew the two contacts on the back of the cluster and replace the wires with those from the LED strip. If you need to dim it down, you can use a resistor, or attach some window tint to the plastic window that the light shines down through. You could also buy all 194 bulbs from superbrightleds.com. I haven't messed with the temp control unit. I believe they're 74, along with the bulbs that strip replaces.

Not sure if 73 or 74, sorry. A little research will confirm for you. I replaced all of my interior lights with red LED's, but I recommend white in the HVAC controller, because the red/blue temp bar will not show correctly with colored bulbs.
