Front end shake

Okay so whenever I hit the brakes on my 89 L, the driver side caliper makes a sort of rattle noise like the rotor is warped and the front end has a light shake to it. It recently started doing it and its only when I apply light pressure to the brakes, do you think this could be due to a slider getting jammed up?

Take the front wheels off, spin the rotors and check for visible runout.
Check the brakes and see how they grab. See if anything is loose.
Inspect first.
