  • Distributor cover assembly

My distributor has something called a( dust cover) or (spacer) or (seal). It is plastic with a hole in the middle. This fits over the exposed metal distributor sticking out of the engine. The rotor fits in the hole onto the distributor. Then, the distributor cap covers everything. None of the parts stores have this spacer or whatever it's called. They don't even know it's name. So, what's it called, and where can one be found?

Are you talking about item #9 for a carby in this schematic?
It's called a COVER and it's available from Four Green for $4.76 + shipping.
Would you like to join the Four Green group buy?

If you have EFI then the part is in this schematic.
    Distributor Cover $4.34

    I'm a linkaholic.

It looks like #4 n the EFI schematic. Is that part list in russian? Also why isn't the thing that looks like a gaskit in the schematic listed?

Yes, it's in Russian, because they can't be touched. You need that gasket? It's part of #1, the entire distributor. You can probably find a gasket on a Mazda Protege at the junkyard, or you might get lucky and Kia might just include it along with the cover.

That explains why the distributor cap & cover were coated in blue silicone. Because when I opened up the cap, the cover was stuck to it with silicone. There was no gaskit inside. Yes, I need a gaskit.

I am going to type the order in tomorrow night. Please decide if you want to buy the cover and notify me. If the gasket is included, you win. If not, then junkyard time.

I'll buy the cover if the gaskit is included. What's the name & phone of the seller? Do they have a paypal account? What methods of shipping & costs? Do they have a website or physical address?
