My distributor has something called a( dust cover) or (spacer) or (seal). It is plastic with a hole in the middle. This fits over the exposed metal distributor sticking out of the engine. The rotor fits in the hole onto the distributor. Then, the distributor cap covers everything. None of the parts stores have this spacer or whatever it's called. They don't even know it's name. So, what's it called, and where can one be found?

Are you talking about item #9 for a carby in this schematic?
It's called a COVER and it's available from Four Green for $4.76 + shipping.
Would you like to join the Four Green group buy?
If you have EFI then the part is in this schematic.
Distributor Cover $4.34

Yes, it's in Russian, because they can't be touched. You need that gasket? It's part of #1, the entire distributor. You can probably find a gasket on a Mazda Protege at the junkyard, or you might get lucky and Kia might just include it along with the cover.Last edited by bravekozak; 03-18-2013, 09:55 PM.

I am going to type the order in tomorrow night. Please decide if you want to buy the cover and notify me. If the gasket is included, you win. If not, then junkyard time.
