  • So would there be any problem swapping a drivers side rear spindle and hub assembly

..instead of changing bearings? I have a 90 festiva that I could swap the entire spindle and hub onto my 93 festiva. When I have the rear jacked up on the 93 the drivers side rear tire when spun barely spins. Plus its been howling at me. My 90 spins free, so I was thinking why not remove the entire assembly and swap em, unless you guys know why I should not do this. I think this would be easier for me than doing the bearings. What say you?

I would try and replace the bearings first. They are easy on the rear. Hhehehe.... rear.

The only problem with swapping the whole assembly is you need to remove the lower strut bolt to get at the 4th bolt on the spindle. If your struts haven't been replaced in a long time, the lower strut bolt is probably seized fast to the strut bushing. This will cause you more grief than changing the bearings on your current spindle.
      You gonna race that thing?
