Just wanting to know if this end of the shoe assembly thingy has to move freely? I know the side with the teeth has to and now it does after whacking it and spraying it. Just was not sure if this side that hooks to the emergency brake has to move freely as well because I didn't want to whack on the thing needlessly. Here is the photo of the side I'm talking about. Good golly you guys have it rough!! Yes, that should hang so freely it dangles before you slap the cable on, and hook it up.

Hey Moving, thanks a ton for that site. It really helped me put everything back together right. I was trying to do it without the site and was trying to put the upper spring on both shoes but I had skipped putting on the retainer spring that holds the shoes on. DUH. I wasn't getting to far so I came back in and read the site you gave me and went back and put the retainer springs on and gee it worked a lot easier. Thanks again.
I slapped everything back together and took her for a test drive and everything is working great. Thanks to everyone for their input and help it was greatly appreciated. JimComment
