I have denso fuel injectors on my 89 festiva, was that the orignal brand ?

This is most definitely worth while procedure to have performed. We provide this service of Ultra Sonic cleaning, Flow Bench testing & Dyno testing of gasoline fuel injectors. Why would you build or buy a rebuilt engine and not do this ^^^? For many years a local toyota racer offered this service and I used it. Unfortunately after he and his wife squabbled he no longer owns this equipment. How do you actually balance the flow and spray patterns between the injectors? Are there internal shims or something you adjust? Do you disassemble the injector? Maybe I should pull mine out and send them to you for service...then you could ship them back with a new set of valve springs.Brian

If applicable the baskets can be replaced, but usually we back flush the injector after ultra sonic cleaning. On Denso Injectors for B-series, we can adjust and center the pintle to optimize the spray pattern. Then a series of ultra sonic cleaning & flow testing until all injectors flow uniformly plus or minus 1 cc form each other. We often get asked questions like, "can you made my 19 lb injectors flow 30 lbs?" The answer is NO. You need to buy 30 lb injectors. We have found, however, that we can achieve a slightly higher rating flow capacity. We use this to flow & test dyno new injectors as well, you will not believe the flow variances in brand new injectors. This process often helps find tuning your engine because each cylinder will have the same amount of fuel introduced into the intake charge causing a balanced compression engine & equal AFR between all 4 cylinders. This greatly simplifies tuning. Here are some pictures of Ford V8 injectors after 3 cleaning cycles.

I can imagine what would happen if you had a custom header with the O2 sensor placed in only one primary tube....and that cylinder happened to have an injector that was way out of range of the other 3. So basically, if all the injectors are clean they should be pretty darn close to being balanced in terms of flow? Whats the cost for this?Brian

I do better than darn close! Cost is $21 per injector. This includes external cleaning & inspection, ohm test internal windings, pressure & leak test, ultra sonic cleaning (usually multiple times), flow bench test (to confirm advertised flow rating), new O-rings, & injector dyno testing (to test injector performance @ operating PSI & range of RPM)PROPOGATE! Really, this offering by Matt is less than auto shop cost around here. Did you see the 4 injectors delivering uneven quantities? That is what is common when you buy new injectors. That is why in another thread I stated we would even send new injectors for that service.
