I want to swap hoods now. Does the washer nozzle have to be taken off or...

..can the hose just be pulled off from the nozzle and placed into the other hood. I can't see the nozzle hose connection from under the hood that well. Thanks, Jim

Yes. Just pull out the squirter nozzle very carefully, so that you don't break the plastic tangs.

Trying to pull the hose off often breaks the nozzle. (Ask me how I know this.) If you can release the nozzle (there are 2 plastic compression tabs) first (using a screwdriver on either side?) and then push the entire unit up through the hood. Then it is relatively easy to get the hose off. Same goes for installation. Connect the hose first and then press the nozzle back into the hood.

When I swaped hoods, the one I was replacing it with had the nozzle and hose already on it. When I took the replacement hood off the junked car I kept the hose attached.
I guess you don't have the hose and nozzle on the other, huh?

Oh man, what an idiot I am, thanks muleskinner. For some reason I never thought of taking the hose off of the other end, where it connects to the washer tank and then just reattaching. My mind was set on pulling the hose off of the nozzle on both cars. Funny how you can get a one track thought going and have blinders on to the obvious. Thanks again for all the replies.

There is an inline connector in the hose before the tank. You can disconnect it there.
