My great running stock 91 efi 5spd Festy suddenly would not start about a month ago. It would crank fine but not fire. I didn't have the time [ambition] to work on it so it just sat. Today I gave it another try and it fired right up and ran smooth for a minute. I shut it off and tried again and it started but soon began a random stuttering, then quit running. Tried again, same thing happened. Anyone have a thought on this? Thanks

False air leaks (unmetered air), caused by leaking air tube between VAF and throttle body is the most common no start issue. Not enough wind to close the fuel pump contacts. When it did finally start then the VAF was bouncing on the FP contacts (opening and closing) causing the FP to turn on and off while running.'88 LX (VIN#30) one of the first Built 12/86
