  • Front main seal replacement, HELP!! have less than 5 hours!

Ok, so saw i was leaking oil so went around to make sure it was coming from front main seal, which it was. going through about 3 quarts in about 300-400 miles. have the car on a stand got timing belt off and alt pulley off, now for the part thats giving me the most *problems*, the bottom timing belt pulley has that small metal thing that comes out in the middle and was told it should come out with out too much trouble but had a friend look at it and he said that it looked like it was in there good. I've spent the last hour and a half trying to get it off with no success and i have to get my car inspected tomorrow plus working with a friend in Virginia. and we have to leave here by 10 am or 12 pm im in desperate need of info or pics of the solution if available. and if anyone is awake at 1:57 am NC time please help or call cause im pulling what little hair i have left out. Not trying to sound pitiful but if i dont get this done i dont make money for my month late rent and being threatened to get evicted. i know I have said it before but please help, if at all possible.
Phone number is 1(919)370-2462. thank you all so much.

The flywheel key? that should pretty much 'fall' out as you slide the sprocket off, shoudn't cause an issue

oh the pulley should slide right off with ease, yours must've gotten seized on there, got access to a bearing puller?

since you got the key out, try twisting the sprocket to get it moving

There is not any room behind the crank pulley to get the bearing puller arms behind the pulley usually. A steering wheel type puller works well. Available for loan at mcpart stores. Need the same metic size bolts, that are in the pulley, only longer, to fit the pulley screw holes, and pull it off.
