  • Parts donor cars

I was looking around the junk yard today and say some Mazda 323's, Ford Escorts, and Kia Rio's. It made me wonder what I could get off these cars that might be useful. So my question is, do we have a list of what can be salvaged off different cars to be used on Festivas? I've seen posts over the years but would not know what topic to search for in the forums. Thanks.

Looking through the pile of tires I found a 12" snow tire on a steel rim.

you know, a modifiable sticky should be created to list swapable parts from (year, make, model) and what is required to make them fit (bolt on and go, make mount to fit, must be used with "x" part to fit, etc.)

i'll propose that a list be make in a new thread and then i'll cut and paste that into a stickyable thread.

You were at Kennys on Bentley, and on a bluebird day? I nearly made over there this morning but resisted the temptation. 323's? Any clean EFIs in there with over the valve cover B6s?
I do already know that early Rio clutch cables work on Festys because I swapped one in a few years ago. There should be a pic-included sticky on that already from me, if someone is looking.
One 12" snow and on a rim! Whoo hoo. Check the date on the sidewall before you jump on it. It is likely there, and not already scooped up, for a reason. They are mostly always 'gone hard or gone square' or won't hold air.

Once in awhile someone's post is recommended to become a 'sticky'. I guess this means one of the moderators edits that thread somewhat down for size and info and the resulting thread is then easier to find via the search feature.

The resulting thread is then stickied to the top of one of the forum sections...so you don't need to search for it!
