I have rebuilt the B3 engine had the block and head checked for cracks, just replaced the L 4speed transaxel with a LX 5 speed and I still have an oil leak somewhere between the firewall and drive train that is NOT engine oil. I put the same axels in that were in the LX. The oil doesnt show up until I reach 60mph then its on the trans, engine and firewall and the underside of the intake manifold. Has anyone had this issue and if so what fixed it and where was it coming from? this issue has been my nightmare for the past year now and I thought by changing the transaxel it would be gone but no its still there :-(. Any help would be much appriciated. Both cars were 1988 bilt and both sold in 89

Make sure your transmission vent is not plugged. It is a small fitting in the top of the transmission right under the starter. It's kind of hard to see. If the vent is clear, make sure you have an O ring on your speedometer cable plug that goes in the transmission. You gonna race that thing?
