  • Inner Tie Rod ?

Need to replace an inner tie rod. There seems to be a slight difference in tie rods though, possibly year to year? One seems to have more course threads. Which is correct? I ended up with the purchase of a MasterPro EV288.

This will be going in an 88 LX.

    Any help is appreciated!

The only replacement rockauto.com list for an 88 is:
    RAYBESTOS Part # 4011654 @26.76
    Professional Grade
    Inner

The number you listed is similar to one for a 92 inner according to rockauto.com (MEVOTECH Part # MEV288 )

Exactly what I thought. Seems 88 and 89 are different from 90-93. Thanks!

Correct. I just bought and installed EV288's on my 1990. I don't remember which one is fine thread and which one is coarse though.
