  • thermal vacuum port question

    I was checking the vacuum lines on my 88 festiva L. I think my thermal vacuum switches are bad. Are the thermal vacuum switches open one way or closed both ways when they're cold? When I blow through one side the air comes out the black cap, but the other side is closed until it warms up. Here's a picture so you know what I talking about:

    That is how they check when good. The vented side should go to the device.

          The device being the either the charcoal canister or the FICB diaphragm?
