  • Blowing disable fuses...

I have a problem! My headlights were working fine all day, I went to turn them on yesterday and they blew out the disable fuse under the hood. Found that the disable fuse box was corroded out...so I rebuilt it with sauder and wire and proper fuses...still blows them. Can I use a higher amp fuse...or is there something hidden that Im missing? I dont see anything wrong...

Maybe someone had this issue and can give me somewhere to start before I pull the front end of the car off lol.ii

Usually if you keep blowing fuses, there is a good chance that you have a short somewhere.

Check wiring where it could be shorting out against any metal.

Fixed the thing, rad support wore through the wire harness on the passenger side and it was shorting out.
Put dielectric grease on all the connector s in the process. Headlights are really bright!

Idle is a little bit better, that's about it. Peace of mind that the electrics are like brand new is another nice side effect!
