  • need help with crank/timing sprocket/ pulley

So my crank bolt backed itself out. I went to fix and found the square key was mauled.

On the big crank festivas is there a piece that goes between the pulley and the crank sprocket? Or does the pully just screw in with the crank bolt?

I know on the smaller ones there is a lip that the pulley sits on. My sprocket doesn't have that lip.

there should be a beveled washer that sits between the sprocket and pulley, then the pulley, then a plate and then the bolts.

I don't have the measurements at the moment but I can get them tomorrow or I can send you one if you need it. I have quite a few laying around left over from from swaps.

Hey, what are 'big crank Festivas' and vice versa?

I am dealing with a similar issue with my '88. See here:

they are a larger diameter snout for the pullies to mount to. Mazda fount that in some instances, the smaller snout was snapping off ahead of the oil pump housing, so they beefed it up.
