    @logan.

    Read this first.

    I would try this before doing the "aftermarket" thing.

    Just my 2¢.

      Is the cluster hard to remove? I've got a Haynes manual and will look at it when I get off.

        Good find Lesser! I'll have to remember that one!

        Logan, the cluster is pretty easy to get out. Remove the trim bezel (may have to unplug a couple of switches), remover the screws that hold the cluster in, unplug the speedo cable and a couple of plugs on the back. I think that's about it from what I can remember. It's been a while since I removed one.

            Yikes! No, you definitely don't have to do that

            I can typically swap a cluster in less than an hour, and that's allowing for smoke breaks and shooting the breeze with friends LOL

              I just changed one a couple weeks ago.
              You should unscrew the speedometer cable at the transmission before you try to pull out the cluster. That way you can pull the cluster out enough to pull up on the little plastic tab an disconnect from behind the cluster. Careful with the wire connectors they have a little tab in the center of the plug that you have to pull up on before you can pull the plug off. Use a very short Phillips screw driver for the 3 screws at the top of the bezel Remove the rear wiper and defroster snap ins and disconnect the wires before you remove the bezel
