Some Issues

Just bought an 89 Festiva L

When going to accelerate on occasion, especially at lower speed, it will bog down and not want to go, forcing me to push the pedal to the floor, which fixes the issue.

Anyone have similar experiences?

I'm thinking mass air flow maybe?

89 auto or 89 manual? it makes a differance for diagnosis.

Trees aren't kind to me...

ok, does it downshift when you go WOT to accelerate? or does it just stay in gear?
