Both of my headlights went out on my 1990 Festiva yesterday. It seems the (relay)???, is bad. I can wiggle the wires around to get it to come back on for a moment, but only for a moment. It seems the problem is in the plug that goes to the relay that is mounted behind the driver headlight. I am calling it a relay but not positive that is what it is called. The plug has 4 male pins, it has a yellow,blue/white stripe, blue/red stripe, blue wires. Any help in identifing this part would be helpful. Thanks in advance for any help. The car has 251,*** miles on it.

yes that is your relay pull it and pull the plug.
check for loose, burnt or croded wires.
you can get them from autozone just take your old one in they won't find it on the computer.
if you just want to test it out ,you can swap it with the running light relay on the passenger side.Last edited by william; 08-07-2013, 08:39 PM.

I went to three parts stores and the Ford dealer trying to get this part. The Ford Parts man called the part a "Powertrain Control Module Relay"? I was calling it a headlight relay...it unplugged behind the driver side head light and mounted to fire wall in the area of the washer plastic container. When I wiggled the four wires just right I could get the head lights to briefly come on then go back off. Any one know the part number for this part? I can not get a number off my part. The Ford place gave me these numbers that no one can match up.... FOBZ 12A646 A, and DYE 615. I am really hoping to get some help with this. It looked like the number on my part startes with a "G". Can you, would you look at yours and share what ever number you see? Thanks in advance for any help with this problem. My car runs perfect but I have no head lights until I get this fixed.Everythang is chickin' but the bill, stur it up real good and it's chickin' still...
