  • alternator bracket.

Well last night while driving home my belt started to squeal and then I heard a loud thud.
Pulled over and my alternator literally fell off.

Now I don't know what the bracket looks like. But I know before, the alt was held on by one big bolt at the tensioner part.

Does anyone have a pic of an alt bracket?

    On the car or off?

Here's one of MENTAL's pics of a bracket on the car. But there are 2 different ones IIRC.

OK got the car here. Looked at it. Problem is:

I don't think the bottom bolt (pivot point) bolt was ever on. And the top bolt broke in half completely.

So now, I just need the bolt specs for both.

Ahhh ok, gotcha. I don't know the bolt specs off the top of my head but maybe someone who does will chime in or I'll get them while I'm working in my shop this afternoon.

just use bolt and nut. i think the adjustment bolt is a 12mm same size as all other 12mm.

IIRC top bolt is an M10x1.25 and the lower is an M12x1.25
