There is spark I just tested . I rid drive all day yesterday then went to drive now and nothing when I turn the key off it still turns over for a few seconds
You must live somewhere outside of n. America or you wouldn't claim to own a 98 Festiva (last n. Amer Aspire (or Festy II in Auzzie) was made in 97). Spark/fuel and engine turnover are number one in diagnosing faults. There are various testers out there that will tell you if there is current going to the spark plugs. If you really do have a spark then the computer-driven fuel injection system is next to look at. Often times folks get all carried away with spark plugs, fuel pumps, electronics and memory chips only to discover that it was merely the timing belt that let go. Do the valves go up and down when the motor is turning?
Take your time with this. Dead cars are a learning experience, especially when you don't have much money to fix them.
Haha yes I am Australian and no I am not proud to own this lol my car is a #330 clubby
But back to business so u think timing belt hmmm this is not good I need to work tomorrow !!!!
Ok how can I test this by myself ?

IF it's a 330 clubby, it's a Holden!! Not even remotely related to a Festiva. Granted with a bit of work a 5.0 litre V8 can be put into a Festiva, but I doubt this is the case.
I think he meant his car that he is proud to own is a holden, the one he isn't proud to own (and this is currently broken down) is a Festiva (or aspire as they were called here in the states).
Bert, if he's getting spark then the Tbelt isn't broken. Could be slipped I suppose, but if the dizzy isn't turning then the coil won't get the signal to fire. I would lean toward it being a fuel problem based off of what we know so far. One quick/easy/cheap test is to spray some ether (starting spray) into the intake and try to crank it. If it fires up and runs for a few seconds then dies then you can bet on it being some sort of fuel issue. Let us know what your results are and we'll go from there.
