  • Crankshaft pulely timing marks

I looked at my pulley and was looking for the white or yellow timing mark but didn't see anything. All I saw was 3 small dots, is this where the mark should be? Also is it a must to have a low timing belt cover to properly set the timing? My festiva is missing the lower one but have the top one. (Guess I'll be in the search for a lower timing belt cover)

Ok, I dont know if yours is efi or carb. I have a carb, and the timing mark on my pulley is just a thin notch. Really had to look to see it. I used a white paint marker to make the mark white, and noticable from above! Also did that to the lower T cover lines so those are easy to see.
Yeah, you kinda need that lower cover.

I have a EFI. I was going to make the mark more noticeable but I can't seem to find where on the pully the mark used to be.
