I don't know how you would get fuel in our oil. Are you sure they didn't say coolant?

Do you have a carb with a mechanical fuel pump?

Stuck float and car parted downhill/gas tank higher? ?

Happened so many times on my 73 f350 with 390......

She'll siphon the tank dry, dribbles down intake, seeps past rings, presto, portrays your problem.

If is Fi, I'd say injectors leaking after pump is killed.

And yes, saturated enough, bad things happen. Backfire through intake ductwork, finds its way back to valve cover, ignites the gas fumes in the crank case you will be replacing oil pan and valve cover. Been there and done it.

Bleh, sounds like a nightmare. Hearing an explosion under the hood, then finding oil all over the road and engine compartment.

ok first, what year and transmission is the car

second, fuel in the oil can ruin your cat converter (clog it) and can also cause a severe lack of lubricity. so, yeah, it's a bad thing

cars a 91, pretty sure its all stock. so the lack of lubricity can lead to higher temp in the engine?

you have to find what's broke FIRST before you can fix it...

pull the plugs and look for one that's wet or contaminated, then verify the bad plug's injector is leaking. a bad plug can also cause this: no ignition means that all the fuel is allowed to wash down the cyl wall and protrude into the crankcase.
