i have a noise that sounds like a worn wheel bearing coming from front of car. fixed bearing, noise still there. have been told it may be gearbox bearing, but dont want to spend hundreds more to find its not the problem. i can feel vibration through steering and sometimes through pedals. noise starts at about 45km/h and gets worse the faster i drive. does anyone out there know if you would get the vibration if it was gearbox bearing or could tyres be the problem, because steering has been less than impressive since noise started too.

Have you checked the CV axles/joints? Also check the tie rod ends both inner and outer, lower control arms also call the ball joints, Tire balance. Are you running the stock wheels and tires? How many miles are on the car?
AND Welcome to the site. You might want to go to the user CP and add your location. Someone close might be able to help you.Jerry
